So, I’m testing my new incubator with an egg to see what humidity works best and what not. And I hadn’t candled the egg in a day or two, so I candled it and there’s development! I’m really excited but at the same time apprehensive because I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m afraid it won’t go as good as I’d like it to. Does it look normal? I started on the 4th so it’s on day five.

I can get more photos is needed.

Looks fine! Just one egg though? Raising a single chick doesn't work well.

I had two others that I was going to do as well but they’d gone past the “incubate within this time” area without me realizing it. If need be, I can get a couple from a hatchery so it has friends.

Oh, ok. That's good. Lone chicks have a rough time learning to be birds usually.
Keep us posted on your egg!
