I just got my incubator in the mail today 😊 i am wondering how long should i spend on calibrating it before attempting my first hatch? Should i do it for a couple days to make sure the temp/humidity stays steady, or just a couple hours is fine? I'll be checking with a separate thermo/hydrometer as well.

I usually heat it up a couple hours before. The longer the better but I wouldn't leave it running for days without eggs.

Ok, so I've gotten it stabilized and it's doing great. I put a hydro/thermometer in as well, but suction cupped to the side. The humidity is reading 1% lower and the temp 4-5 ° lower. Could the difference be because it's attached to the side of the incubator?
