baby chick number 3 made it out but she either has unabsorbed yolk or her umbilicus is still fully attached to her and not the shell. I wonder is this going to hurt when it dries out or gets ripped off.

Sweet! I see pips in those other eggs too.
How's the navel now?

it dried and came off and the chick is doing fine. I am up to a total of 15 out of 28 so far! 6 black ones 8 yellow ones and one that looks just a little darker maybe a light tan color? I must say I do believe I am addicted! This was such an amazing process!

One hatch I has 3 wrong end pip that I had to help them, a 4th one I did not see the pip it was on the underside of the egg, was too late for help. Here is what they looked.

I forgot how many you had in there. Sorry about the one you lost. Dontcha just hate that. Glad you saved the ones you did though!

well we have 24 baby chicks so far. Two of them have not pipped at all. Hopefully they are just late bloomers. One of them has a pip with no progress all day. And the other is stuck and I moistened the membrane remove some of the shell but I saw a little bit of blood so I left it. it's been that way for at least 30 hours now.

a total of 26 of the 28 set have hatched! I candled the other two this morning and there is still movement in one egg. Hopefully its just a late bloomer. I'm so excited!
