You've made some great breed choices. Keep reading here so you have all your supplies ready, and lots of knowledge about what to do. Use the blue search bar above, it can be a great help.

Keep Reading the forums! There's so much to learn!

Thanks! I have several items ready for their arrival

2 Heat-lamps
2 Waters
1 Chick Feeder (Need to buy another)
Wood shavings for bedding
And a Big steel Bin to hold them

Some marbles or little rocks to put in the waterers so the chicks don't drown.
Some "QuickChick" (electrolyte powder), or add a little sugar for the first couple days to prevent dehydration.
A thermometer to check the temp under the lights (not absolutely necesary but nice.)
I put down paper towels over the shavings for the first few days so they learn the difference between feed and shavings.
I keep a bottle of PolyViSol (baby vitamin drops) without iron on hand for the chick who might get weak suddenly.

First chicks are so much fun.

The only question I have to ask is: "Why so many roos".

Do you plan on eating them?
