Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

NancyDZ thanks for the offer. Great news! I stayed up way too late last night, which is very unusual for me, so I got up late. When I went out to pick up the newspaper, my neighbor came down and we started talking. Short story is she gave me her 2 white chickens which have just started laying this past spring.

She runs a day care and she hatched them last summer. The chickens are very docile and let me pick them up. Her yard is too small per city ordinance to have chickens. I didn't want white chickens because I wanted colored eggs. But, guess what, one lays large brown eggs and the other lays medium greenish-brown eggs.

I am so excited to have them. I guess God wants me to start out small and he knows I'm too impatient to start with baby chicks. Aussieheeler where/what is the BST section? I'll probably still keep looking just because I'm obsessed with this chicken stuff. I like these smilies. Oh, I guess I better change my signature. I have chickens.
