First time quail hatcher.

Do I lower the humidity if the humidity is at 46 - 58 because my incubator is staying in that area never lower or higher.

I have a 9300. From my experience Don't trust the humidity gauge.

Mine will read 50 to 55 whether it is completely dry or full of water.

If you have one or can get one double check it with another gauge that is know to be accurite.

As far as lowering it if it's that high is up to you.

Personally that's high for me. But in styro bators I've had better hatches with lower incubation humidity.

The heating element is not centered. Mine could have up to a 6 degree difference from corners closest to heating element to the farthest.

The little plastic sheet with the temp probe seemed to slide as the eggs rotated. That changed my temp. Usually made it too hot.

I acquired a couple hovabators 1588. They worked so much better.

I have resigned mine (9300) to a hatcher or emergency brooder.

Some have luck with the 9300. But it takes some tinkering.

Not trying to scare you from incubator but these were some things I found out while using mine. Just to watch out for.
