Time for an update on these birdies . Little Stevie , the lone Roo in the hatch that my friend upstate took in is doing great and he's grown to be a beautiful bird .
About a month ago my friend's flock suffered a mink attack , he lost 20 birds (he had 55 I believe) , Little Stevie was not one of the unlucky ones , he survived unscathed , we were at least happy for that .
As for the pullets from our hatch they are all fine , all 8 of them . My daughter is getting 7 - 8 eggs a day , 3 brown eggs from the 3 orps and beautiful blue/green eggs from the eggers .
