First time with Easter Eggers

Hi everyone. I have a quick question about my two new Easter Eggers. When I picked them out at 3 days old I chose 2 different colors and I searched in the brooder for the puffiest cheeked ones. At 6 weeks one has feathered out all over including the muffs and has a black beard. The other one at the same age and still has baby chick Downy cheeks and hasn't feathered in the face yet. Has anyone else seen this happen? I realize they are mutts and different, just curious if it has happened to anyone else.

I have several EE in my flock. They are all different. Some have muffs, others don’t. Some have green legs, others don’t. Some lay green/blue eggs, others don’t. Etc....etc....
The ONE thing they ALL have in common: They are the sweetest hens in my flock!

That's nice to hear. One of mine likes attention and the other is scared of everything even the other Chicks. Lol

Thank you. Yes I understand they all look different. I was curious about their muffs. Do some remain like little chicken fluff without feathers?
