Using the glass bulb thermometer, top of eggs are 100-101F. I am on day 13, humidity steady at 50%. I have a wireless digital resting on the turner tray, which is lower than the glass bulb, it reads 95F. I candles a couple days ago and I have movement in the eggs, but am I too cold? What about when turner comes out and eggs are further away, adjust so egg tops are still 100F?

Areyour thermometers near each other? You might have hot spot. I move mine around to keep the temp even. Try moving the thermometer or getting a third and checking which one is right.

I would love to know this answer too! Depending on if I do the bottom or the top of the eggs I get different temps. What are other people's thoughts?

I am trusting the glass thermometer, but after reading more, people say top of egg should be 102 in still air. I bumped mine up to 101, and am trying a different digital. New digital says 100 laying flat in middle. Glass says 101 on top of eggs on right side. I think this should be ok. I noticed as temp increases, rh decreases, so is that an error curve of the rh sensor, or did I really drop from 50% to 40%. I am going to keep my eye on RH, I had to open it, so that may be why. Nerves are shot.

After a couple hours:

Big numbers on top are "outdoor". The remote is inside the bator. Picked this up for $17 at Lowes. I feel much better. All this rain, humid inside (small numbers toward bottom are indoor)

. Glass thermometer on top of eggs says 101F.

If your useing thoes little ones that come with the incubators....they can be WAY off. I threw mine away! One was up to 4* off.

All this is frustrating, I am in lockdown, and I am having a hard time with the temp. Glass bulb says 101 on top of eggs, but digital now says 95. Humidity is 69%. With +- 5 degree error rate on pretty much everything, it is hard to decide what to use. I don't want to cook them either, but I just have a really bad feeling that I may be not warm enough. I guess I really am at a loss here, I am not using this stupid still air bator again, I am going to have to add a fan and some way more accurate sensors. +-5* is ridiculous in this day and age.

I think you need to get a third thermometer. I always have two, and if they aren't within a degree of each other I know something is off. I have a still air and it has worked great. I just don't know why people have so many problems with them? Read the directions, they recommend having the temp at 99.5. I keep mine between 99 and 100 and have great hatches that start on day 19! You also need to keep it away from windows, sunlight, drafty areas, etc and keep them temp in your house a fairly steady temp.
