So I have several different breeds whom are starting to lay for the first time. I have some comets, a Cochin, EEs, a BR, and a blue copper maran. And I’m just curious about these eggs and why they look the way they do?! Some are almost like reverse speckled, I had one double yolk with a line through it, and just some regular ol tan eggs. Some are getting bigger, some are staying smaller. I know they are probably just working out some kinks with the girls just starting to lay BUT I’ve been getting these almost everyday for about a week. 😳😳

Should I be worried about any of these things?

I'v every seen all these eggs from my hens from time to time especially in their first few dozen and I remember asking the same questions, one told me they were normal. Though I'm not an expert my hens also started out with the funky smaller eggs and yes they're laying has normalised over the years and eggs are now all the same expect for some little odd ones every once and a while. Here is the article I read about egg shape and size https://the-chicken-chick.com/how-hen-makes-egg-egg-oddities/
I hope this helped!
