Hi all,
After a few long weeks (in some pretty terrible weather I might add), our coop is finally finished
We have started with Golden Comets, we currently have 8 hens and 1 rooster. The rooster seems to be doing his job and caring for his flock. We are so excited.
I have just ordered 3 more baby comets and 2 ducklings -welsh harlequins which we are supposed to get in in March. So it seems like we have a good 3 weeks to figure out our brooding situation which I keep bouncing back and forth on. I have heard both pros and cons of brooding them together and it seem like the biggest of my hurdles will be to try keeping it dry enough for the chickens so that they do not get sick....
If any one had any suggestions on a brooder that would be great, pics would be helpful. But I am kind of leaning away from a rubbermaid container.
Any ideas??
