I will soon be a first time chick mama (mid March). I have read and read and read what I hope is everything I need to know to prepare. This weekend I will be heading to my nearby Tractor Supply to pick up everything I need so that I will be 100% ready for them. I have been researching breeds so that I know they will be able to handle the terrible winters here in Central NY. However, I am limited to what Tractor Supply will be getting in. My heart is set on Easter Eggers. Does anyone know if Tractor Supply usually has them? I know I can special order them but I cannot have 25 chicks and that is their minimum. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome! You should come join us over on the NY thread, we'd love to have you! And one of us could definitely get you some EE chicks if your TSC doesn't get them in. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have as well.

We're also having a meet up in May if you would like to attend that :)
