Just ordered 15 chicks from McMurray. 10 Americanas and 5 Pearl White Leghorns and then the one "exotic" they give you for free. This is our very first experience with this, so lots to learn still.

We live on 2 acres that is currently not fenced at all. We have a raised-bed veggie garden going and chickens is our next foray. We are eventually hoping to go 1/2 self sufficient, but it's taking a little while getting there.

Anyhow, still have to build a coop/run, and get a brooder set up. Looking forward to participating with you all here :)
