Hi there
We have just found 5 eggs together in our yard where our Indian Runners run around. We have two - male and female. The eggs were very cold so I thought that they would be no good for hatching. Is this the case? I have read that they often lay their eggs all over the place but these were definitely all in one place. Do they lay one at a time or a few at a time? Once they are cold does that mean they will be no good for hatching? I brought them inside yesterday thinking that they were only good for eating but now I'm not so sure. She has laid another by the back door.
Anyone have any advice?
Cheers

glad you have joined us.

Sorry, don't know an answer to your question, but likely you will get the advice you need in the ducks forum.
Hope they are viable and you can get a hatch!

How cold did they get? As long as they didn't freeze they should be fine. No, they generally only lay one a day. My runner usually lays wherever but if I don't get the eggs for a day or two she will go back to that spot and build a nest. Hope this helps!
