Great 4 of us so far! "welcome aboard" Shadowpaints! Good luck to everyone. I couldnt resist I just put the 14 keets in the bator. Was gonna wait until monday but Im so excited about this, I just had too. Keets take 28 days so their hatch date is 9-25-09

Ive been thinking about hooking up an egg cam when they start hatching and hosting it on my server would be fun to watch.

"Welcome Aboard Cherlyn" I would be so excited not knowing what they will be. I'd be beside myself. LOL

This hatching is so much fun. Daughter hatched out 9 keets and 2 turkeys last week everyone was so excited even the grandbabies were singing "we're hatching, we're hatching" all night. It was so cute and a great experince for them to see mother nature at her best!

well i guess i'm late, or early i could say. I set mine last thursday so i'm officially 8 days in now. My due date is Sept 10th. I have 5 EE's (but one was in the ladies fridge for a day so it's my experimental egg) A mix of RIR, red sexlinks, and black sexlinks. They're all brown except for the EE's so it will be fun trying to guess who's who. This is my first time incubating eggs so, when they hatch I might have trouble distinguishing the chicks. all of them are some sort of reddish brown or tan, besides the black ones. But I'm so excited all of you are hatching little iddy bitties! I wish everyone the best of luck! and SHOW THOSE PICS!!!

"Welcome Aboard Stazia86" You hatch with us here. It will be nice to have some hatch at different times. Make sure you take plenty of pictures to share! Cant wait to see all the babies and different colors.

Me me me I want to be in the hatch group.

I hatched out 9 little mixed mutts last week - caught the bug definately!!

In the incy (only a little r-com 3) I have 3 orpingtons due 18th Sept, under my broody I have 2 orps and 5 black silkies (due 15th sept)......will be switching which eggs are where in once I have candled them on day 7 so that I can get the most out the broody/incy combo..... confused yet......wait there is more......

Next week I am expecting to receive a further batch of 6 orps and 2 other Orps to replace 2 that broke in transit.....batches not from the same seller so will no doubt arrive on different days.....

SOOOOO, my plan is on candling the first eggs on day 7 (the black silkies...) and say 3 out of 5 are going well....I will put them in the incy and move all the 5 original orps out to the broody hen - no idea what to do if more than 3 or the silkies are good.

Hopefully, my new and very basic incy will arrive before or at the same time as the other eggs so they can go into that!
.....phew....I am glad I am keeping a spreadsheet on all this!

I will shut up now!
