Pips, peeps, and even 6 healthy chickies flopping around the bator doesn't calm the obsessing. No one is home for the next 3.5 hours, and I can't help but imagine they all die from lack of oxygen, to much heat/humidity, not enough heat/humidity, etc.
I know the hatched ones will be fine, the heat/humidity won't fluctuate enough to make a difference, and a few hours of no one staring into the bator will probably be restful for them. But still, it's all I can do not to take off work early and rush home.
