Hello and welcome to BYC! So happy you joined our community. I feed the starter grower until they are feathered out and that usually is around the time the original bag runs out. After that I feed "All Flock." I stopped using layer feed because it's really meant for birds that are actively laying. Too much calcium is not the best for non-laying birds. I also keep a cup of oyster shell available for those that need it. Best of luck with your wee flock.

Your barred rock is a cockrel. Are his legs and feet yellow or pink? If pink he is probably a cuckoo marans.
The white with black spots may be a California white or another white hybrid.
They may be backyard mixed (my favorites) depending on where your friend got the eggs.
Whatever they are, they are beautiful. Congratulations on your new flock!

His legs & feet are a pale pink, really light in color.
