First try at meaties!

Well I've been lurking in this forum forever and kept planning to get meaties "someday". Anyway, a new Ranch Supply store opened in town this weekend. Naturally I had to go look at the chickens and, lo and behold, they had Cornish Rock straight run! $1.29/ea., which seemed like a decent price. So I picked up 20. They look so cute right now! The adventure begins...

Congrats on your new acquisitions! I assume you've got a heat lamp for them for the first few weeks? Last year was my first year doing CX, I did 25 and we really enjoyed the meat. I'm no expert but there's lots of them on this forum if you experience any problems. Good luck and welcome to the community!

Thanks! Yeah that's just a pic of the traveling box from the store. They've got deluxe digs in the garage now.
