First week in June?

I washed the little chick and it is now pretty good! It has a toe that crosses over the wrong way under the other three, so I will have to figure out how to fix it.

I will be sending good vibes your way for all three of your next eggs to hatch! My husband asked me about where you are located? I assumed Sierra Foothills would be Tahoe area? He grew up in Chico and thinks you could be from around there.... We moved to the Portland OR area about 7 years ago, but we lived in Roseville for 4 yrs prior to that. I added you to my buddy list to keep in touch!

My chicks are a mix of lemon blue, lavender, lavender splash, blue, and one red (bantam cochins)

MellisaA, your chicks are Sooooo cute! I'm so glad your glue chick washed up ok! The one I helped out because he was too large to turn and zip feather's were all plastered down, but he is starting to fluff up now. He also had turned in feet but they are starting to straighten out. I know that some people splint the toes but I would be affraid of doing it wrong

I was in the feed store last week and saw some blue Cochin bantam chicks and it was love at first sight

If only I had room for more chickens!! I'm hoping to have my husband build me a large chicken house but he is so busy remodeling our home that I'm not sure when he will be able to get to it

I wondered where you were in Oregon. Our son's in-laws live in Forest Grove! Oregon is so pretty!! We live in Grass Valley, CA. Since you lived in Roseville I'm sure you know where that is. It's been fun sharing this thread with you

Yes! we must keep in touch!! Have fun with your new chicks!! Here is a picture of my BLRW chicks at one day old. The 5 striped ones will be blue and the blond one will be splash.

Your babies are SO cute! I love the little brown ones! We found some partridge for our next hatch. I can't wait!
