Haha! Yes, I hear you on that!
I'm curious. Do you live in the upper Midwest? I'm in Minnesota and also expecting a freeze. Actually, today is the first day it stayed below freezing the whole day.

No - I'm in sunny upstate NY

We had the last couple of days cold, windy. Weatherman is predicting 'accumulating snow' for the next few days. Of course, that may/not be so....in my next life I'm going to be meteorologist.......................

I've been so busy... I still haven't taken down our koi pond for the year.

I set up the tanks in the garage yesterday and they are currently circulating. I was hoping to let them run for a week with a couple of goldfish in them, but I don't know if I can wait a full week. I had to go out every hour today to break a hole in the thick ice covering the koi pond.

boskelli1571 - I'm glad you got some advice. I enjoyed reading it. Our pond looked like pea soup all summer long. Darn algae...

I have a 50 gal tank with creek chubs and 3 sliders don't know what type sliders 2 are wild caught and one given to me by a friend I'll post a pic when I get one

There's actually several options. Freshwater shrimp, Endler's livebearers, rams, some of the small rasboras, killifish, Betta, guppies. Of course, minimal quantities. What experience do you have with aquariums?
