Rare Feathers Farm, I was wondering about that--but my sister who I got the eggs from says she has no Golden Duckwings, and she does have SFs.
I looked up the sites on your link to see more pictures and my guy has some of the coloring, but not all the features--definately no fuzzy feet and puffy face. He DOES look a lot like one duckwing picture I saw--but not all of them--and that still doesn't definately identify the breed. I was wrong about him not being a Bantam--I thought all bantams were as small as my Bantam Buff Brahmas. He's bigger than them, but smaller than my non-bantam chickens. So it seems he's a mixed breed? SF with something else? She has a bunch of Easter Eggers (my mistake--I thought EEs were the same as Americaunas) If I get SF hens and bred them with my not-so-Salmon-Faverolle--to sell the babies, would they then be considered SFs? (More SF than not?) Thanks for the link, btw
jeslewmazer, I think it's just the pic--he doesn't droop his wings like that all the time-- we were chasing the bantams to get their pictures-- and they didn't want to cooperate--he'd just flapped up to the top of that cage when I took the pic. I'll try to get better pics.
I didn't know Old English come in so many colors--I thought just the grey ones were OE--they are much smaller than the others.
okiehen, I'm going to look up nankins, too. That one has bluish feet. We're trying to get the guy who we got the eggs from to look at them and identify them for us. Supposedly his birds are show birds.
I'm trying to sell the speckled one as well as a BO cockerel in CraigsList locally--I first listed them for the price I see most of the time there--almost every roo listed there is $10 and up! But no excited calls demanding they must--JUST MUST have my boys-and what a steal that is! siiiiigh
So how DO you price your birds for sale? Just because people are listing their birds for $10, I guess, doesn't mean they're getting that! LOL!
