I received these cute little banty hens yesterday from a family who could no longer care for them. I am very new to chicken raising and want to make sure they are the breeds I was told.

Front: White Auraucana
Left: Auraucana - not sure what this color would be called
Left Center: White Cochin
Right Center: Buff Brahma
Right: Porcelain d' Uccle

So, what do you think?

Thanks in advance!

BarkingDogs quick question..... Are you in the U.S.?

If so then bird 1 is eather a EE or a white Ameraucana, ( cant see the legs )
Bird 2 is a EE
(Auraucana's dont have a tail or a beard. They are tailess and have ear-tufts)

Here are a couple pics of one of the said to be Araucana's. I couldn't get a picture of the white one because the battery died on my camera. I will get one after it's charged up again. This one looks really scruffy and dirty in her face. I'm not sure what the cause is. The rest of the hens look great. She is about 1 years old.

What do you think.... Araucana or EE? Also, any ideas on how scruffy her face looks? She's pretty ugly

Yes I am in the U.S. I was pretty sure they weren't Auracana's once I saw them in person, so I wonder if they EE's or Ameraucana's. They are both a little bossy and flighty, especially the white one. The greyish colored one laid a light blue egg yesterday.

i would say they are bantam EE's . the one in the new pic has some spotting on the wings . Meaning its a crossed color making it a bantam EE .

Mixed color ameraucana = EE's as im told

cool birds though

Her face really needs a bath... whether that's blood from a hen fight or she's gotten into a face full of sticky fruit, she's not going to get that off easy.
