Fixing Crooked Legs on Freshly Hatched Chicks and Ducklings - Work in Progress

The Golden State
This one hatched 7/27/2019 with this crooked right leg and curled toes on the left foot.

My first attempt at fixing it was to tape the toes and hobble the legs

On 7/28/2019 I removed the tape and hobble. Toes were better, but no change in the leg.

This time I decided to hobble the legs closer together.

7/29/2019 I decided to try taping this way:

In the picture below you can see how I placed the right foot pointing a little to the left.

Here it is on 8/2/2019. Not perfect, but it can walk.

Thanks, this last hatch was nerve-wracking!

Its amazing what a little TLC can do. Thank you so much for your advice on my own little chicks. My little peachick that had curled toes underwent your masking tape shoes and after even one day its little toes were miraculously cured. It is running around like nothing was ever wrong. Thank you so much.
