Fixing vent gleet with baby chicks?

I got corid 20% it's been 4-5 days and nine have died but there still have diarea and I have to wash them off idk one looks sluggish I'll know more in that one tomm but if it ain't coccidiosis what could it be?

Hi, I have a five day old chick who is getting blocked around its vent from feaces. I'm cleaning it off twice a day and he immediately goes and does a poo so i know its blocking. Im so worried bout what would happen if i wasn't here all day to do that, do you think it's something he'll grow out of? His brothers bottom is alright and Im feeding them chick feed only so I'll try some boiled egg today. Am so grateful to be able to ask this advice of you. Oh and I read somewhere to put a tiny bit of vaseline around his vent so ive done that. Can you offer any other tips plz?

The boiled or scrambled egg will make a big difference but you could pop some ACV into their water too....I find this clears things up pretty quick.

But you are right, pasty butt is a killer if not dealt with quickly....just a few hours with a blocked vent can be enough to cause damage and/or death so well done for keeping on top of it. The vaseline will help the faeces fall away rather than stick but hopefully the other measures will prevent it altogether.

I snip the fuzz off, use Vaseline. A lot of times I see that the poo gets stuck below the vent on the fuzz.

Generally, you won't see pasting up after a week or so. It tends to happen because of shipping--from either being to cold, or from the brooder being too hot and getting dehydrated.

I just got 3 chicks 1 week ago. I believe one chick also has vent gleet. The feed store recommended blue kote. I'm suspicious of putting this on such a young bird. If I should, should I apply it to her entire vent? And how often? How much yogurt should they be getting and how do I feed them the ACV? Put it in their water?

Wash its little butt, dry it really good with blow dryer, then apply the same meds women use Nystatin, around the vent, all it is a yeast bacteria. apply the nystatin for 4-5 days until the fungal issues are gone.
