they keep flagging the postings when one is going on.

What business is it of theirs if the dog is mixed or pure bred? All the OP is doing is trying to find homes for the pups...
It beats giving them to a shelter where they have to sit in a cage 24/7...
If these flaggers were SO concerned about these pups..why dont they contact the person with the pups and help them find good homes for the pups?
I'll tell you why...because they dont REALLY care...all they want is to cause people problems and get in peoples business. They simply have NO life. Period.
And i dont believe they REALLY care about the animals at all... if they did they would help the pups find homes..instead of just being cowards behind a computer and flagging..

Either what everyone else said, or because they have yet to have their first shots. I'd leave that out of the post, then just tell people who are interested. If you're not interested in a pup, you don't need to know that information. I wouldn't remove the breeds. I'll be 100% honest, when I was looking for a pup, I had something in mind, a muscular breed. I was passing all mixed breed ads that didn't specify what the mix was, just because there were so many ads that I didn't want to waste time emailing every last one of them. I think you'll loose more potential adopters if you scratch that bit of information out.

Your re-homing fee is too low. Ask $50-100 and see if you get flagged again. Change the title to "Large, gentle, mix breed puppies, short coated. $50" or whatever you post for a re-homing fee. Make sure you state in the ad you will be using the money to neuter/spay the parents.

I had the same problem when I was posting for my puppies, I even got nasty emails as well. Dont give up, keep on going, soon or later there will be no flag and you will eventually get some claims. I had 8 pups, Bassette mix, and I was also posting to rehome the Mom. 2 days after the last post I did, someone came and got all 8 pups. I still have Mom and she is still up for rehoming. I did ask for $75 for the rehoming fee for the pups but mom had to go free. I turned around and let her have all 8 for free since she had proof of vet appointment and everything and was getting their shots, worms, and getting all of them fixed. She wanted Mom too but Mom disapeared when she came by. If no one claims mom soon, I just email her back and let her know and she will come and get her.

I was actually going to say not to put chow in the ad... They have bad reps too. So, Like every body else said, don't list any of the mix, just put "mixed breed" and up your fee. Are you planning on getting your dog spayed? I'm just assuming you have the girl since you have the puppies. Upping the rehoming fee will help pay for the operation. Also, if you contact your local humane society, they can tell you if there are any vets that do a "spay/neuter" clinic, or simply do the operation at a reasonable cost. I just found a vet that's 45minutes from our house, but they are going to spay our newest rescue for only $90, rather than the $400-500 the regular vet wanted!!!!!

wow! i got my dog neutered last year for about $150 and that was about the going rate in our area.

there is an organization called SpayUSA, that has some different pricing options depending on your financial situation. http://www.spayusa.org/ i would give out this info to a buyer of any of the pups so they know to get them spayed/neutered and their options.

i think that changing your cost per pup to use the money to spay the mom, might be a better idea too. you may want to mention that you would like to ask some questions of prospective parents to be sure you are giving them a good home-fenced yard or family life they are to expect. you wouldn't want the pups to end up with a family that will turn around and put them in a shelter because they weren't what they expected.

it might cover you if someone who wants to complain you are just getting rid of them for the money.

Here its not too bad to get a dog neutered, around $70 and I think $150 for a spay. At least at our vet who is the most reasonable.
I think people are right, they flag just because they CAN and arent REALLY concerned with the welfare of the animals or they would honestly try to help, at least offer non hostile suggestions.
I remember when we were looking for a dog we posted a Wanted, just a basic post and said we had references (including veterinary) as well. I tried keeping it up a few times but it was always flagged after the first 10 minutes, at most, no matter HOW I worded it.
Is it true there has to be MANY people flag an ad before it is taken off? If that is so, those people must be really working in unison to have it happen so fast!

It is crazy, but there are entire groups of people that flag. I dont know why.
I post in the farm and garden and if I dont ad that my "eating eggs" can also be hatched for mutts, I get flagged every time.
