Flattening hardware cloth?

Thanks all for the suggestions. I usually don't have an issue with it until I get to the end of a roll and then it is so tightly wound that it becomes a two person job to keep it held down while pulling it tight. I like the rolling pin idea, I may try that one first.

This will work with large or small sections of hardward cloth.
Roll out to size desired, weight down the ends to make cutting with tin snips easier. Flip over so wire humps up. Grab a corner and pull/roll backward at a 45 degree angle. Continue with each corner, rolling in large to small rolls to flatten the piece. Flip over and roll each corner in same way until piece flattens.
Rolling at a 45 degree angle to the square corner pattern of hardware cloth bends the wire across the square of the pattern instead of across. Bending across simpley transfers the bend from one direction to another. Bending across the square wiill not. Continue bending, flipping, repeating until the piece is flat.
