Flax seed

I do....I sprinkle it on the surplus eggs I cook for them. I don't want to waste any of the seeds, and this way it sticks to the egg that I know they'll gobble up. I imagine it adds omega 3 to their diet which will go into the eggs they lay.

Oh good! Can they have too much?

What about chia seeds?
I don't know, but I'd think it's okay.
Can they have too much flax--- well it's expensive, and I don't know the answer. Chicken feed is formulated to provide what they need, and some grains and seeds can fill them up with less protein than they need to make eggs. And they could get too much fat from certain seeds but I really don't know more than that.

Yes I've read flaxseed can give a fishy taste if you over do it. I am using a feed with flax, it's the seventh ingredient. In my previous brand of Omega 3 feed, flax was the fifth ingredient. GC
