Can I feed flaxseed to my chickens? They already get Layena + treats of raisens, cauliflour, yogurt and tomatoes. They also get to free-range in the yard some days. I heard it can raise the level of Omega-3 in the eggs. Truth?
    Thanks for any advice!!!!

I mix flax seed in with my layer feed...the ladies love it. I can definitely tell a difference in their plumage.
