Flea control--what do you use?

Our rescue uses Frontline, but I have used Biospot with NO problems. Where is a good place to order with NO shipping?

Of all the weird stuff I have heard about flea control, around here, the one that has not failed me yet is garlic. I sprinkle it on their food and have not had any flea problems in years. It works on my cats too. And with 6 dogs (3 in house) and 23 cats (1 Inside, outside) there is alot of potental for fleas. My neighbor does the same thing. Sounds weird put it works.

Ever since I started using DE... I don't have any fleas around so I stopped getting the frontline. I have heard some scary things about BioSpot ... not sure I'd recommend that.

Get Comfortis.

It's like $14 for a pill that lasts for 30 days. One pill on a full stomach...fleas on the dog die in around 4 hours and the dog is protected for 30 days.

Has worked WONDERS on my poodle and Shih Tzu.

I use salt for the indoor fleas

Sprinkle it through your carpet, allow it to set for as much as a half hour, then vacuum. When you empty it, you'll see all the dead fleas. It works sort of like DE, with the whole crystals-destroying-the-flea thing, but it also sort of dehydrates them. I hate fleas, so this way of death satisfies me VERY much

BioSpot is a HUGE No-No!!!! My vet sees regular deaths due to Bio-Spot. Most of the OTC flea control is poison (except the "natural remedies"). Frontline is great and I use Revolution, which is a combination of heartworm and flea control.

Please be careful with Bio-Spot!!!

We use Frontline. My vet gave me a sneaky way to cut corners with it. She said Frontline is the only flea treatment that is the same formula for dogs and cats and she told me to buy the box for the 120+ lbs dogs and dose it out in smaller amounts for all my dogs and cats. I've been doing it according to their weight and we've had no fleas. I also treat my yard and their bedding and everything with xerobugs spray, and if someone does come in with a rogue flea, I spray the dog down with the xerobugs spray. It's natural and doesn't affect the effectiveness of the Frontline. I also heard from someone in our 4-H Poultry club that you can use Frontline on chickens. He showed me where to put it and how much. He said he has used it on his chickens for years and has not had any issues with lice or mites. I plan to research that some more before I try something like that. I tried BioSpot before to no avail. Frontline works the best out here. And the fleas are BAD here. So are the roundworms and flies. I do what I can to keep all of those under control. Good luck with whatever you do use.

We use perma guard diatomaceus earth sprinkle on carpet let it get in there good works if you have fleas..We payed to have this service done 3 dogs and never any fleas..they said it was good for 1 year but we live there 3 fleafree...Works great you can also feed to chickens to control flies mite ect...stuff works wonders
