Fleming Outdoors automatic door opener

I purchased the module in 2015 & put it on my own door. Had a few problems in the 1st year when they were working out the kinks, but they were right on it & even replaced my unit with a new one that was upgraded. It has worked flawlessly for the last 3 years. Love the auto adjustment for times with the location option. You can set it to close or open any number of minutes before or after sunrise/sunset. I love it!
Thank you Cindy in PA! The auto adjustment with location option and the electric with battery backup is what attracted me to it also. Thanks to the responses I have decided to go along with this one.

I have had this door with the added solar kit since summer 2017 and had absolutely no issues with it. Opens and closes everyday without fail. It is nice that it adjusts the open/close times based on sunrise/sunset for our location so I don't have to reset it through the year.
Got this door a few months ago for our new coop and we absolutely love it!!! Worth every penny. Just one question for you who have used this over the years...... If I have it set with my latitude and longitude (sunset and sunrise) Do I have to do anything for daylight savings??? Change the time???

I am not sure on that, because I set my door to close about 15 minutes after it gets dark because my girls do not always go in right at sunset.

Yes, you do have to adjust. Your UST time stays the same. You instead set your clock time. When you adjust your clock time and go to save, it asks if you are adjusting for DST. It tells you what button to hit if you are, then saves the time. When I went back to the main screen, my door times shifted by an hour which is what I wanted.

So, it knows about the concept of DST, but doesn’t automatically change your clock on the changeover day, you’ll need to do that manually. I can live with that 2x a year.

You do not have to change the clock on this door unless you want the clock to read the correct time. It will simply say it is closing at say 6 when it is now closes at 5 by your watch, but it will carry on with no adjustment! That is the beauty of this door. I'll have to check out what @ChadOftedal said above, because I have never bothered with it & it works just fine.

@Cindy in PA is exactly right. It will work just fine with no changes, my info was just for clock display purposes. I'm the one in our house that gets to set all our clocks when the time changes, and I guess I just carry that out into the coop as well. Very good clarification there.
