FLIES!!!! what do I do to decrease the amount of flies?

Oh boy the flies! It has been an ongoing battle this year. I was fit to be tied. I used every suggestion that has been posted here so far and a couple more. My neighbors have 2 hogs, feed fermented slop and don't haul off manure.

Above my entry doors, I use a battery operated metered spray by Country Vet. Those are working really well.
Around the premises (away from the coop and doors) I use the fly bag traps.
In and around the coop, in the horse stalls the garage I use the vanilla car fresheners (they really do work for me) and sticky fly tape. (My coop is a barn stall, too open air for the no pest strip)
No Pest Strip works great in my kennel room as they don't work as well in open air.
I planted basil, mint, thyme all around the barn and in planters on my front porch. The flies hate it.
I spray the walls with Bayer Permectrin II premise and barn spray labeled for poultry.
I'm winning. I've seen a remarkable decrease in the fly population.

Although I know such devices exist as I have seen them used in commercial applications, for some reason I never bothered or considered using one at home... I just read up about them and will probably pick up one or two for next year and give them a try... If nothing else it should save me the few minutes every few days spraying Yard Guard around the outside of my doors...

MB, I have one above every entry door. They have really helped.

Do they work well outside? I live in an RV and have horses along with the chickens. Cattle on adjoining property. Needless to say, I do a lot of swatting and cursing.

yep, flies are awful here too. Neighbor has ducks, I have chickens. Flies are always trying to find a way inside and I kill them! ugh! I want to get a trap but keep forgetting when I go into town!

They do. I have one outside every entry door. Give the vanilla car fresheners a try around outside the door too. My dad lives out back in an RV right near our horses/chickens and they are helping. If he does get flies inside, he closes it up, gives a couple squirts of the country vet and waits a few minutes.
