Flies

Any good tips for flies? I try to scrap and scoop daily and got some of those hanging fly traps you fill with water. Idk they maybe make the problem worse. They smell so flipping bad!but they do catch flies

Fly traps attract flies, so if you use them, far away from the coop and house! I use fly predators from Spalding, and permethrin dust under the shavings in the coop. Some people here use vanilla scented air fresheners (??) but I haven't tried them, because I also dislike the air freshener thingies. It's the mosquitoes that are driving me wild this summer! Yeah I moved them because it was absolutely unreal. Got better soon after.
