x2The water test can give so many false negatives, I hate it and don't do it, and always recommend against it.
Candle it and watch for movement. Sometimes you can even feel it move in your hand. Tap and listen. I'd still suggest putting it back in the incubator and waiting a bit longer, unless you are positive it quit.
I lost several in a similar fashion until I read about too high of humidity. If the humidity is too high during incubation, the egg won’t lose enough water creating a large duckling and small air sac. They can’t hatch because they are too big to move in the egg. I am so sorry! Going the whole 28 days and then losing them is difficult.He did die inside :’( so sad. He was fully formed with a smaller yolk sack. There was some white stuff in there also, kinda looked like poop. The membrane was so hard to tear open too. Idk why he died tho!sad.
