    Good morning. 10 of my 11 eggs have hatched! One has not even pipped though.

    One egg, before the end of incubation, had become dark except for the air space and had no movement-it may be this one. I candled it this morning; the air cell is drawn down a bit but no movement.

    I tried the float test; sank completely and no movement.

    The float test says it will float a bit bc of the airspace but it didn't float at all. Is it likely to be dead?

    I am new to this but tried the float test yesterday as my 2 eggs had gone onto day 24 and nothing, they both floated with about the air sac above water level but no movement so i presumed they were dead;

    My opinion is that the chick may have got through to the air sac and not made it out, it deffinately should not of sank completely im afraid.

    Congratulations on the 10 chicks though!!
