Floating Duck House Question

I'm thinking of building a floating duck platform and house using a wooden pallet covered with rabbit wire, some plastic jugs for floatation, and an overturned plastic tote with holes cut in it for the house. If I add a nest box inside the house, what are the odds that they would lay in it?

Did they use it? Can you provide how you built it? How does it stay in center of the pond without returning to shore?

No, we haven't gotten the ducks as planned. They were not given to us. I was going to keep the duck house in the center of the pond by using two ropes, One anchored on opposite sides of the pond. One of the ropes was going to be long enough to stretch all the way across the pond. I would unwind the extra length when I need to pull the duck house in to shore. I would then pull the duck house back out on the pond using the longer rope.
