floating egg test--is it accurate?

I assumed that was the float test...is it not?

When we float our eggs, the eggs that float are the older eggs, the eggs that sink are the younger eggs.

I've been doing that for years an years an my 83 year old grandmother has sense she was a kid. Never known it to be wrong.

Eggs that lay down are fit for the incubator or the table. Eggs that stand need cooked now. Eggs that float get cooked all the way threw an fed to livestock. Eggs that smell go in the compost.
