Flock Blocks- they are tasty!

strangly enough when we put a flock block in our coop BEARS started coming INTO the cage when i was only five feet away! we think they were attracted by the molases. since we threw the flock block out we havnt had any more bears. it was very wierd.

I only use them in bad weather. Such as when it snows or is really cold out. It does give them something to do inside when it is to bad outside for sure. I put mine inside. gloria Jean PS I give occ. amts of drained salmon to make up for the protein. I also give some of the salmon during the molting. They really love it.

I was at a feed store yesterday and saw Mr. Bird's Nut Cake. 17% protein. My bird's loved it. It was the first time I had ever gotten them anything like that before. When I unlocked the door of the chicken house to let them into the run, they scurried to it. I bought most of the ingredients to make my own next time.
