Flock integration at 8 weeks - we did it!

Discussion in 'Raising Baby Chicks' started by bawkbawkbawk, Mar 12, 2016.

  1. I grossly miscalculated the time to raise baby chicks and mix them in with our adult hens. When I brought home chicks in January, I only looked ahead as far as how long until they would feather out and be coop ready. When I looked at the recommended timeline for integrating a flock - 16 weeks - I was horrified.

Luckily I found help here on BYC.

We moved the babies into the coop three nights ago and so far so good.

    Thank you thank you BYC![IMG]
