Bought 8, 10 month old RIR pullets to add to my flock of elderly red Sex Links and Buff Orps... The Orps acted as the welcoming committee but one of my Sexlinks was a bit aggressive ...

Just dump them in but I keep a close eye on them giving them separate food and water until they've adjusted...

Just dumping them in can have that result.You really didn't do an integration. Keep an eye on them as the older birds might start attacking them badly.

If my older hens were overly aggressive I would have done things differently .... I'm retired and spend a lot of time in & around their coop & run so I'm able to closely monitor what goes on until I'm satisfied they've adjusted..
