Flock/Life Journey's 2019

You have gorgeous animals!

Those people were silly tieing her to a male dog! Are they stupid. Poor thing wouldn't have been aware of what was going on in the first place. Poor Darling.

Did they ask for pick of the litter? Since they had the Male?

They said it was accidental, but I'm not so sure myself. Why in the world would you let your unfixed male even be around her if you didn't want them to tie? They knew she shouldn't have any pups, blind and from a litter with only one surviving puppy (herself). I know she had to be terrified. She's not very good with distracting situations, being blind and confused is a bad combination.

No they didn't get any puppy. Most of the dogs they have are from their grandchildren. The grandkids get a dog and can't keep it for various reasons, so they give the dog to them! This has happened three times from what I know. I don't think they really wanted one and I don't think they needed one anyway.

They probably would have wanted a female and bred her back to her father. "Accidentally" of course. They never fix any of their dogs. I believe the most recent dog given to them from their grandchildren is female, I imagine she'll be pregnant soon.

We kept two, my granddad got one (he looks like a mastiff.) The rest where given to good homes, mostly people we know.

I was just thinking maybe that was their motivate was to get a puppy to keep for sell for money.
I don't understand people not desexing their dogs. Especially if they have dogs from the same relatives.

Anyone have or have had any 'exotic' or 'strange' animals? Like rare fowl, rodents, birds or reptiles?

I've had mice, hamsters, a cockatiel and currently have two bearded dragons.

This is Muchu. He was my first bearded dragon.

My most recent boy, Yoshi.

Mushu doesn't particularly like Yoshi. His beard turns black and starts head bobbing. Go ahead and watch some YouTube videos of bearded dragons head bobbing. It's funny to watch, but is a aggressive behavior. Arm waving is a sign of submission and is also cool to watch.

Very nice dragons! Yes i actually kept All types of lizards and snakes for many years before chickens. Currently we only have a 29 gal Angel fish tank and an albino ball python. The snake ive had for around 6 years now hes a sweetie pie. Nothing venomous though. In the lizard arena ive had 3 type of Chameleons, leapord geckos, beardies and a skink.

Sorry I jumped in the middle of this thread and missed the part about introductions lol

My name is Kim. I am a native of Arizona and California, USA (was born in AZ but spent about the same amount of time in each state) but moved to Canada where I live with my husband and 11 month old son.
The only pet/animal I currently have is my 6 year old cat, Marshall. The Silkies in my avatar I got for my mom in California. They were born June 5th but when I asked my mom yesterday about them she says they haven’t crowed nor laid. She has another white Silkie hen who 6-8 years of age who is laying daily. I actually am thinking one of her eggs could be the pullet’s egg so I will ask my mom if she has seen any eggs that are smaller than usual lately.
We will be moving to a house with a yard possibly in May. I will start adding pets with guppy fish and then button quail and maybe in a year or two 3 hens as that is what is allowed in Gatineau, Quebec if we move to a house with at least 450m^2 of land. About 2 acres of land is needed if I wanted more chickens...we will get there eventually. Hopefully in less than a decade:rolleyes:

Anyway I’ll attach a picture of my cat. Nice posts everyone.
