Flock/Life Journey's 2019

My poor Roo got dehydrated and couldn't figure out how to get back into the run to get water :( thankfully I had gone out to check on them and saw his dilemma! :barnie So here i am "herding" him back to the gate and he's so tired he keeps walking past it!! I finally got him cornered and grabbed him and with aheft gently tossed over run fencing. He doesn't like to be picked up so it was not fun:( but he's ok now. :love

Right after i got him in I realized I wasn't being burnt to a crisp... storms came up fast!!

Nice pics and video.

That’s too bad about the chick Myles but hope Luna has a speedy recovery.

I hope my fish didn’t eat her babies but did consider it a possibility. Yesterday I saw her poop when I got up at 5 am, she hadn’t been fed since the previous evening. But I’m not too sure she ate them because she pretty much looks the same. I think I will move her to the bigger tank where I have fake plants designed for saving baby fish.

This was when it arrived from Amazon. I wish I had used it, it (baby hideout plants) doesn’t fit in the 2.5 gallon so it is in the 32 gallon. Half of it is floating and the other half anchored under substrate because it can be used either way. The tank wasn’t ready for me to put the fish in and I was afraid transferring her might’ve caused more stress on her :barnie Now the bigger tank has a protein film built up at the top of it that I will clear out with paper towels tomorrow and then I’ll test the water again to see if she can go in it. I won’t be putting her in the breeder because I’ve read of fish dying in it (after I bought it:rolleyes:) but will put the babies in there the first 2 weeks before transferring them to their grow out tank while the mom stays in the bigger tank.

But if she ate those babies it’ll be another month or so until we actually see any.

In the meantime my sister in Arizona who named my fish Fleur got a betta. I don’t know what his name is yet it’s cool that both our fish, although different species, are red. I would like to have a blue, orange, yellow and maybe even green guppy one day.

I’m up because I can’t sleep. I fell asleep at about 12:30 and the door of the room was halfway open. 20 minutes later I woke up and saw the door closed. Will ask DH if he remembers closing it otherwise my house might be haunted. Probably up at the thought of this lol

Going to check out a bantam Cochin thread to calm down some more

Dehydration does that?
