Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Karma, my blind dog for those who don't remember, is having some problems. Her left eye has been irritated for a few weeks and seems, to my untrained eye, to have something that looks ulcer-like. Today I walked outside with her to encourage her to go to the bathroom. She went out to the driveway peed a small amount. Her urine is heavily tinted red. I believe she has an inverted vulva so hopefully, it's just from that and can be an easy fix. She will be going to the vet soon, hopefully, before the end of the week.

Heres a picture of karma from a few months ago.

I hope she does better!

Karma just got back from the vet. The whole thing was close to $400. She had the exam, an X-ray to see if she had bladder stones(she didn't have any), a Urinalysis, a sent out blood panel, a corneal stain, nail trim, flea, and heartworm medication, an antibiotic(once a day), two different eye drops(a drop in each eye four times a day for both), and an NSAID(twice a day). The vet concluded that she has glaucoma and has an ulcer on her left eye. Her eyes will most likely be removed, either physically or chemically. She's never been able to see so it wouldn't drastically change her life, but it's still hard to hear. We will cross that bridge when we get to it.

One of the vet techs had a polish chick in for something with her leg. She was very cute, a bright moment for the day.

Awww:( we just had a vet visit like that... our girl Raven is about 10yrs old, vet ended up lancing an abscess, did test on her eyes and found her goong blind in both which is scaring her so she's very jumpy around us now, and she was diagnosed with doggie dementia... so she is slowly forgetting who we are :hit vet says I'll have to make that call when it gets worse as it could become a dangerous situation with the kids and her. I bawled.
