Morning guys!

Egg Update:

Did some candling, 4 are on track for day 9, but the rest are ranging from day or day 7 development. I think the one corner of incubator might be a little cooler so I turned the cartons 180deg. And shifted them closer to middle.
The ones candling on time are very active inside! I'll try to get video of it later

So...TSC got me again i was no where NEAR the chicks i swear!i was getting ear and eye rinse for the dogs and the manager sees me "you know you want some chickies!" She says to me..."um...er.." I mumble. She smiles real big and goes " 4 for a dollar!" And i already saw they had speckled sussex the day before

so it was already over

And i didn't catch the whole thing but my poor Drake Mallard is smaller than all the other drakes so i guess he decided this little game rooster was his size. They weren't actually hurting each other, just establishing pecking order and then Rico swooped in to break it up

I rotate every time I candle just for that reason. Not a lot to worry about just give the slow developers more time.

I left some fertilized eggs under my broody hen while i was away and i just saw air pockets in them when i checked! I didn't have the camera when i did it but I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. These would be my chickens first hatched out eggs if they make it!
