Aaww, I’m so sorry you had to make that decision.. but totally understandable! Now you can just focus all your attention on your new precious little one... how are you coming along..?

I'm good I have been sick though with a flu for about 2 weeks now but baby is doing so good. Moving around and kicking. Jordan has felt her move now.

Yeah it had to be one of the most venomous snakes we have here too. I was scared for the snake catcher life and he is a pro.
Couldn't believe it. When Jordan called out snake in the chicken coop. I thought he was playing a joke on me then I see the chickens going crazy and the snake trying to go them. The coop was pretty snake proof but. The snake got in but couldn't get out.
I'm now considering if I want chickens again now. It was a real eye opener.

Having a snake in the coop is very scary! You did the best and right thing to do for your girls. But don't let it scare you off! I've had rattle snakes, racers, and rat snakes in the coop! We just adjust and keep going, otherwise no one would gave chickens. We put a ceramic egg in each nestbox, if a snake comes in and eats it they die since they can't digest or spit it up easily. I just got done marking all with a blue x so hubs or kids don't bring in those on accident.
Very thankful it was not you that got in a tangle with the snake!
