It’s more that they’re silly characters than stupid, if you call someone a galah it’s because they’re a laugh, and do stupid things not that they are stupid. it’s not a really common saying, more in the older generation

Morning everyone! It’s 9 am here and some of my eggs have pipped! Hatch day isn’t till tomorrow so I’m trying sooo hard to keep my hands off the incubator.

Dark brown one is a Rouen
Light brown one is a Rouen mix
And the white and black one is a magpie duck

I've only seen a few Rouen but none with markings as lovely as yours, they are beautiful as are your chickens too.
Yours is the first magpie duck I've ever seen - again wonderful colour and marking.

Still no more hatched but lots of pips and can hear cheeping. This poor bubba is so lonely, she keeps calling out for me to cuddle her!
I’m happy to oblige, she thinks my hand is her mumma and runs straight into it when I reach into the brooder, then cheeps till I cup my hand over her
Hopefully she should have some siblings by morning (I say she in hope ofcourse)
