Still no more hatched but lots of pips and can hear cheeping. This poor bubba is so lonely, she keeps calling out for me to cuddle her!
I’m happy to oblige, she thinks my hand is her mumma and runs straight into it when I reach into the brooder, then cheeps till I cup my hand over her
Hopefully she should have some siblings by morning (I say she in hope ofcourse)

I don't know much about hatching but I've read of the chicks imprinting on the first they see, so does this mean she has imprinted on you and so will regard you as her mother?

What breed is she?

She’s Speckled Sussex.
These are the parents. I’ve always wanted this breed as I loved my light Sussex, and was lucky enough to be given these eggs by a client over Christmas.

I'm with you on the Light Sussex breed, I have one Light Sussex and she is wonderful. I love all my birds and all are wonderful to me but there is something to be said about the lovely temperament of the Light Sussex breed and how easy they are to handle - are the Speckled Sussex as docile as the Light Sussex?

If anyone thought Coco was going to lay her first egg today. Nope still nothing but Hazel laid her daily egg.

Free Ranging:
My ladies didn't get to free range this afternoon as I was getting my hair done at the hairdresser but I have tomorrow off so they will get some free range time in the afternoon and might even get a treat.

Ohhh hold up! I have tomorrow off I will be turning my alarm clock off right now
