10 babies went home tonight! Unfortunately I suspect fowl play in the clutch of suspect australorps from the hatchery. One passed away last night from unknown but another went down hill today! Pretty sure it won't last the night and a third is also looking questionable put the best looking of the baby 'austra' in the mini to boost his temps for the night. But both questionable chicks were leaning back on haunches and don't want to eat pretty sure both are gonna give out by tonight.

I hope to god you don't have the same experience I did with my chicks from the breeder. I am praying right!

Egg Stats:
Ohhh how you know I love my stats right?
I was reading a RIR will lay 5 eggs a week. Coco has laid 6 eggs in a 7 day period
Hazel of course just laying everyday day like a boss lady.

Just syringe fed the 2 babies (I now think barred rock based on white feathering)applesauce. the 2nd of the blacks may pull through the 1st is more questionable but I got something in his belly. Gonna set an alarm and try to feed them little bits each HR through the night.

Hazel looks sooo small compared to Coco and Almond.

I dunked their beak in but they weren't thursty because they were to busy free ranging so ill check them in the morning and see if they need me to show them again.

Its really really lean meat more like beef but has a stronger meat taste its hard to explain. But if you love beef medium rare would love it. If its cooked right too. Can't cook it too long or its just tough. Ive only eaten it when my partner cooks it and its been perfect everytime. I haven't tried to cook it but.
If you ever get the chance try it.
