DS tried to get in the shower when DH was showering. The kitty threw up a hairball. Other'n that nothing exciting lol

yes!

I'm eating chex cereal with blueberries, blackberries, and vanilla almond milk.

Yum. I want to make it but DH doesn't like anything Alfredo sauc-y. Might just make it one of these days for me and DS.

It is -13C or 9F here, clear skies but snow on the ground. Sunday, 9:21 AM.

He might like it once he eats it love.

View attachment 1669393 Here’s my egg basket today... it’s getting full.. I will be bringing some to my mother-in-law on Tuesday.... She fell and broke her arm and had to have surgery so we have all been taking turns staying with her..

Great to hear that you’re considering getting some.

Here’s the pros:
They’re quiet, easy to tame, very friendly, cold hardy, they make great broodies and mother hens being able to cover lots of eggs and they’re good egg layers.
They’re a very laid back breed.

Cons:
they’re very slow to mature, their feathered feet can get ruined if kept in a muddy run and they eat ALOT more food compared to any other chickens I’ve had.

The pros outway out the cons for me though, they’re a joy to have around.

I think a chicken van would be awesome!! Go the hippie route for sure... and PLEASE post pics!!!

It’s an ugly van to start with, currently dark teal colored, which is the best looking part of it. It’s a ‘99, and it shows its age.

I’d love to have a beautiful wooden coop, but that’s in the future.

So I'm finally getting eggs from the birds I want to hatch. Several days ago, I got a sultan egg, and I got another one from them two days ago and today. That is three sultan eggs, but the last two were pretty cold, so they might not hatch. Also, today I got two d'uccle eggs from my milles, but the one had froze and cracked. Hopefully they continue laying as the weather warms up.

Eggs getting cold does not hurt them. IF they freeze hard enough to crack the shell, then they will not hatch.

Hopefully I get 2 eggs today. Im wishing for 3 but I dont think that will be the case.
