Last Nights Dinner:
Forget to post it. Bacon, eggs, sausages and chips :drool Simple but yummy! And got to use eggs so even happier.

:bow Do you sell yours?

Not at the moment. Once my standard pullets start laying I might sell so they can earn their keep! If I sell a few dozen a week I should be able to buy the feed pretty easily.

I had 2 eggs this morning.
Almond was coming out of the nesting area when I went upto the coop. But shes not squatting yet?
Do all pullets squat before laying?

Pullets can start to squat around sexual maturity, I don't really use squatting as a way of telling if she's about to lay or not. The squatting, redness and the dropping of the wattles put together is the perfect storm for laying.

Actually in my experience, pullets don't squat the majority of the time. If her wattles and comb rapidly become red and grow then she should be laying soon.

No, I don't really think she's laying yet.

This is the girl I suspect will lay soon. Her wattles and comb have become larger and reder in the last couple weeks. I believe she still has a bit before she starts laying though.

This girl is definitely laying and has been for months. You can easily tell by how red and large her comb and wattles are.

Once Almond starts looking like your girls who already laying you should have three eggs in the nest box!
