Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Thanks yall! I will wait and hopefully the little gal is good!:fl

I just went out to take care of the big gals and I told them that I got them 4 new sisters :ya... not sure if they’ll be all too pleased when the time comes to meet them:oops:

And my Silkie is determined to be broody.. although every time I go out I remove her from the nest and she goes about her business... weeelll, she has become quite the bully!! Attacking everyone.. except Ruby that is:lol:... is this normal? Maybe she is angry cuz I keep moving her!? Should I separate her?.... and remember.. she is the only Silkie in the midst of giants.... this fact doesn’t effect her in the least:th

Don’t know. I always catch them sniffing around Cooper and Lola’s poop garden... maybe they just smell other dogs, chickens, ducks, guineas, cats and rabbits :lau
Hi Miles.. did you see that I got a Light Brahma?;)

Guppy and his orpington friend still seem fine, I just washed their poopy butts AGAIN. But I am concerned about health, guppy acts fine but I suspect his leg issue is less of a post hatch thing and actually a deficiency from inside the egg , seeing as at 5 days old and he hasn't grown...at all! All the other chicks have doubled in size and have at least some wing feathers while Guppy hasn't changed at all even whith vitamin and supplements and healthy treats each day :( at what point might he be out of the red zone survival wise you think? His legs arent too terrible, although they aren't 100% perfect he can run and drink and get up on his own now. But if he makes it to two weeks he should be ok right? Anyone else ever had really small 'runt' chicks? Will he hit a growth spurt you think? Or is he permanently stunted? Currently he looks like a bantam compared to the others although im certain he is not.

Maybe try some scrabbled eggs love. But I did have a small chick that was special needs. It lasted for 5 weeks then as soon as the heat lamp turned off (bulb blow but they were 5 weeks so should have been ok without it and wasnt cold). It died. Is it sleeping alot? Or running around?

Morning all. Enjoying a few days of light rain & helping my son pack up his house. I hate packing ~ but I love my son. :)My chookies are not impressed with this state of affairs as they barely got an hour of free range time when I got home. They are going to be even less impressed shortly. We are starting a massive renovation which will include a new chook house & new birds. I foresee ructions...

Awww your a good mumma!
When my partner and I moved we had about 30 people helping it was so amazing. To me moving is so easy because I didn't have to do much at all.
When you start your coop honey you should create an article on it.
